Midwest Laboratories offers a wide variety of basic soil tests.  

  

If a field has never been sampled before, it is recommended that the complete test S3C be applied.  

  

For grain crops that will require nitrogen, the S1AN  or S2N  tests are recommended. In low rainfall areas, the subsoil nitrate test is recommended.  

  

For Soil where manure has been applied frequently or heavily, the S2N  test is recommended.  

  

In addition for determining optimum herbicide application rate, the Texture Analysis $11.20  is recommended.  

  

Nematode assay tests are also available:  

Plant Parasitic Nematode analysis - $30.00 and  

Cyst Nematode Determination (Egg Count Method) - $18.00
